Questions
Questions and answers
The twelve things people actually ask us. If yours is not here, call — we will not make you fill in a form to get an answer.
- Can we write to you in English?
- Yes. Write in English and we will answer in English.
- How many people fit in each room?
- Up to 70 in the Kleiner Saal, up to 130 in the Großer Saal, and up to 200 in the Gaststätte, both halls opened into one. These figures are calculated from the floor area and have not yet been measured room by room — tell us your guest count and we will check it properly.
- How do we get an offer?
- Tell us the date and the number of guests and we will send you an offer.
- Can we bring our own caterer?
- Please ask us — it depends on the event and the kitchen arrangements.
- Can we bring our own drinks?
- We charge no corkage if you bring your own wine. Just tell us beforehand so we have the right glasses ready.
- Is the building step-free?
- Yes, and there is an accessible WC.
- How much parking is there?
- Free parking directly at the house, shared with the sports hall next door.
- Where can our guests stay overnight?
- There are hotels and guest houses in Flensburg, twelve minutes away, and in Glücksburg on the Förde. Ask us and we will point you at the nearest ones.
- How far is it from Flensburg, and from the Danish border?
- About 12 minutes by car from Flensburg, and roughly 10 km from the Danish border.
- How far in advance should we book?
- Saturdays in summer are often taken a year ahead. Confirmation Sundays in April and May go early too. For most other events, four to eight weeks is enough.
- Is an enquiry a booking?
- No. An enquiry is not a booking — it is an invitation for us to make you an offer. A contract is formed only when we confirm in writing.
- Can we see the hall before we decide?
- Of course. Call or write, and we will arrange a time that suits you — including evenings.
